Psychomotricity is the science
that studies people through his body in movement and in relation to the
internal and external world. Psychomotor development takes place from the birth
and throughout childhood, taking into account the 7 psychomotor factors, which
develops in a hierarchical way and influence each other: tonicity and balance
(responsible for the alert and vigilant states); lateralization, notion of the
body and spatio-temporal structuring (responsible for receiving, analyzing and
storing information from outside); and global praxis and fine praxis
(responsible for programming and planning the activity).
Psychomotor therapy acts on
inappropriate motor expression, usually linked to problems of development,
behavior, learning, psychomotor maturation or psycho-affective. Therapy will
focus on cognitive, motor, emotional and social development, seeking to promote
greater autonomy in the child and enhance the learning process.
